Yummy Bazaar – World Sampler Box February 2018 Review
Yummy Bazaar is an online grocery shop that sells foods from all over the world. If you’re craving mustard from France, coffee from Germany, or lingonberry jam from Scandinavia, Yummy Bazaar will deliver the international goods to your door. The site also offers two different subscription boxes for those who want to try something new but aren’t sure where to start. The World Sampler box includes 5-6 snacks for $9.95 per month. The Full Experience set features 6-8 full-size products for a monthly price of $35.95. I purchased a 3 month subscription to World Sampler. So what does $10 get…
Tokyo Otaku Mode Skoshbox – September 2017
Note: This is a review of the medium-sized Skoshbox, also called “Dekabox.” It’s been 6 months since I received my third and final subscription box of Japanese snacks from Tokyo Otaku Mode. Like the previous boxes I received, the Skoshbox had some hits and misses. I discovered during my membership that I prefer the sweeter side of Japan rather than the savory. My favorite from the September 2017 box is this full bag of hard candies, or Kyo-Machi Saryo. The bag contains three flavors: sweet roasted soy, sakura strawberry, and matcha milk. The varieties are unique and creamy. (from left)…
5 Ingredient Baked Spaghetti
There are certain dishes I look forward to eating at places other than my home, like restaurants, church, and my grandmother’s place. I say this because I’ve never been sure I could master the art of cooking certain foods in my own kitchen, so I reached a conclusion that I didn’t have the skills, and that it was best for me to wait for the next invite to my grandmother’s house for her famous baked spaghetti rather than try and make it myself. Sad, huh? Well sad no more! Turns out making baked spaghetti isn’t as daunting as I thought…
Chef Bombay Mini Butter Chicken Naanpanadas
I’ll be the first to admit I’m a creature of routine, especially when it comes to food. As an American, I hail from the land of hamburgers and hot dogs and I rarely venture into exploring cuisine from other cultures. I’ve gotten better in the last few years. When I started this website, I vowed to balance my interest in old favorites with fresh finds. Here’s where Lidl comes in! Like Aldi, Lidl is a discount grocery story based in Germany and quickly gaining traction in the United States for their line of affordable and high quality store brands. What…
Tokyo Otaku Mode Skoshbox – August 2017
As you can tell, I’m traveling back in time a little to bring you my thoughts and pictures of my snack box from Tokyo Otaku Mode. This one is from the summer, August 2017 to be exact! Forgive me for hitting the snooze button on this one! As I mentioned in my post regarding the July 2017 Skoshbox, I purchased a 3 month subscription to the Dekabox, which is the middle tier of the Japanese snack box. With this being my second box, I quickly learned that when it comes to Asian treats, I most enjoy the fruity flavored candies…
